The Mozilla organization has released an updated roadmap. I always like seeing what the next releases of Mozilla are going to bring to the masses of web surfing elite that use gecko based browsers. Previous roadmaps have consisted of dates for the next milestones, complete with an image of the tree branches with markings for each branchpoint. That’s all still there, but at the bottom. This roadmap contains an actual shift in direction for the project. The future of Mozilla will be the split into the separate Phoenix browser and Minotaur mail client. Both of these projects have interested me for some time now. Phoenix is the best browser ever, and I have switched everyone at work over to it. You should use it too! It has sweet tabs, popup blocking, and other nifty features that make it easier to surf the web. I’m excited about the prospects for a slimmer mail client from Mozilla, and would like to see the Minotaur project develop as well as Phoenix has.
